The app and updates
Updates, the tray, windows of their own, proxy and app settings.
Updates
TMR Terminal checks for updates by itself and installs them. Every update is signed by us and checked by the app before it installs. Much of the workstation is delivered from our servers, so new features often appear without an update at all.
Starting with Windows and the tray
By default the app starts with Windows and stays in the system tray when you close its window, so alerts and notifications keep reaching you. To quit completely, right-click the tray icon and choose Quit. You can turn off starting with Windows in Windows' Startup apps.
Windows of their own
Choose Open in new window on a chart or tab to move it to a window of its own, for example on a second monitor. Torn-off windows keep the same title bar and controls as the main window.
App settings
Open the account menu (bottom left) and choose Settings:
- Downloads: where files you save from the terminal go.
- Proxy: connect through an HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS proxy. The app tests a proxy before saving it, and a saved proxy password is encrypted on your PC. While a proxy is on, prices come through our servers instead of straight from the exchanges.
- PropSyncer: whether PropSyncer opens with the terminal when it is installed.
- Cache: clear stored chart history if charts look wrong.
- Reset: remove the app's local data from this PC.
- Updates: check for an update now.
Uninstalling
Uninstall from Windows Settings → Apps. Your layouts, drawings, alerts and personal scripts are kept on the PC so that a reinstall picks up where you left off; use Reset in Settings first if you want them gone.
