TMR Terminal — The Market Revelation
Read this before you trade through TMR Terminal. It does not describe every risk, and it does not replace the risk disclosures your broker, exchange or prop firm gives you, which you should also read.
1. Trading can lose you money, fast
Trading stocks, futures, options, forex, contracts for difference (CFDs) and crypto-assets carries a high risk of loss. Prices can move sharply and without warning, including through gaps when a market opens or after news, so a stop order may fill well beyond its price or not at all. Leverage and margin multiply both gains and losses: with futures, options, CFDs and leveraged crypto products you can lose more than the money in your account and be required to pay the difference. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
Most retail traders lose money. Studies published by the Securities and Exchange Board of India have found that around nine in ten individual traders in India's equity futures and options segment made a net loss, and brokers in the EU and UK are required to disclose that most retail CFD accounts lose money.
2. Nothing in TMR Terminal is advice
Charts, indicators, scripts, order-flow studies, signal marks, alerts, sentiment figures, news, calendars, community scripts and strategy reports are tools. None of them is a recommendation to buy or sell, and none of them knows your finances, goals or tolerance for loss. We are not registered with SEBI or any other regulator as an investment adviser or research analyst. Decide for yourself, and consider independent professional advice.
3. Backtests, paper and replay are not real
Backtests, strategy reports, paper accounts and replay sessions are simulations. Hypothetical or simulated performance results have many inherent limitations. They are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not involve financial risk, and cannot fully account for slippage, fees, liquidity, partial fills, market impact, outages or the psychological pressure of real trading. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Past performance, real or simulated, is not a guide to future results.
4. Technology can fail
- Orders. An order can be delayed, rejected, partially filled, filled at a worse price, sent twice, or not sent at all, because of your broker, the exchange, your internet connection, your computer, our servers or a third-party service.
- One click is enough. The Software does not ask you to confirm orders unless you turn confirmations on. A mistaken click, key press or drag can send or change a real order on a live account.
- Data. Prices, charts, volume, order-flow figures, positions, balances and P&L can be delayed, incomplete, aggregated differently from your broker's, or simply wrong. Different venues quote different prices for what looks like the same market.
- Connections. If the app, our servers or your broker connection stops, the Software may show stale information without warning. Orders already accepted by your broker, including stops and targets, stay active.
- Backup. Always keep another way to see and close your positions, such as your broker's own platform or phone dealing desk.
5. Brokers, platforms and third parties
Your broker holds your money and executes your trades. Its solvency, rules, margin calls, outages and decisions are outside our control. Third-party platforms and data vendors can change or withdraw the access TMR Terminal relies on at any time.
6. Prop firms
Prop firm evaluations and funded accounts have their own rules on drawdown, daily loss, position size, news trading, automation and copying. Breaking a rule can end an account or cost a payout, even when the trade was profitable. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules of every firm you trade with.
7. Crypto-assets
Crypto-assets are highly volatile and largely unregulated in many countries. You can lose your entire investment. Exchanges can fail, freeze withdrawals or be hacked. In India, crypto-assets are not legal tender, are taxed as virtual digital assets, and may be subject to tax deducted at source on transfers; the regulatory position may change.
8. Forex and CFDs for residents of India
For residents of India, trading forex is permitted only in authorised currency pairs on recognised Indian exchanges through authorised brokers. Trading forex, CFDs or similar products on overseas or unauthorised online platforms, or sending money abroad to fund such trading, can breach the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and lead to penalties. The Reserve Bank of India publishes an Alert List of unauthorised platforms. Seeing a market in TMR Terminal does not mean you may lawfully trade it.
9. Automated tools
If you use TMR Terminal together with automation, such as PropSyncer or platform strategies, a fault or a wrong setting can repeat a mistake across many orders or accounts very quickly. In India, algorithmic trading by retail investors is permitted only within the framework set by SEBI and the exchanges, through your broker.
10. Your responsibility
By using TMR Terminal to trade, you accept that you understand these risks, that every trading decision is yours, and that you alone are responsible for the results.
